View assessment page

On the Assessment view page, you will be able to watch the candidateā€™s completed interview as well as collaborate and leave feedback depending on the assessment. This page is divided into four major sections.

  1. Assessment information: At the top, youā€™ll find relevant information about the candidate, the position theyā€™re applying for, the assessment (type, status, completion date, comments, other evaluations, references, and interviewers), and the assessment settings (sharing, downloading, and deleting options).
  2. Interview evaluation: Right below, on the left, youā€™ll see the candidateā€™s video interview with its transcription (transcriptions are only available for Annual Pro, Team, or Enterprise plans). On the right, youā€™ll find the evaluation section, including the list of questions from the interview, the rating, and the explanation for the rating, the Recommendation, and the Scorecard.

Switch to the new View assessment page

Activate the new View Assessment page by selecting Try new design from the banner at the top of the page.

Revert back to the legacy design

To revert to the legacy design, click your avatar at the bottom left of the page, and select šŸ” Revert to legacy design.

Assessment information

At the top, youā€™ll find relevant information about:

  • The candidate ā€“ Full name, position theyā€™re applying to, and contact details.
  • The assessment:
    • One-way video interviews ā€“ Status, completion date, comments, other evaluations, and references.
    • Live video interviews ā€“ Status, completion date, comments, references, and host and guests.

In addition to the information above, in this section, you can:

Mark the assessment as passed or failed

  1. From theĀ View assessment page, click the evaluation button at the top, and select one of the options. Youā€™ll be redirected to the Evaluate interview page.

    • Passed
    • Failed
    • Undecided

  2. On the Evaluate interview page, you can also enter the candidateā€™s disposition.

    1. If you want to enter a dispĆ³sition for the candidate, select yes and follow the instructionsĀ here.
    2. If not, select No and clickĀ Save evaluation.

Share interviews using Basic share links

Basic share links allow you to share an interview with someone without them being required to log in. This type of link is available for any active customer.

  1. From theĀ View assessment page, click Share.

  2. Under Basic share link, selectĀ Generate Link.Ā A basic share link will be automatically created so you can copy by clicking šŸ”—Copy and paste it wherever you need.

Advanced share links offer enhanced functionality exclusively available with Spark Hire'sĀ Pro, Growth, and EnterpriseĀ plans.

View candidate page

Viewing the full candidate page can provide a comprehensive understanding of the candidateā€™s overall fit for the position because it includes all the candidate's relevant data and evaluations from other teammates.

To access the candidateā€™s profile page from the View Assessment page, click the three dots (ā€¦) at the top right and select View candidate. Alternatively, you can click directly on the candidateā€™s name.

Download an interview

Downloading video interviews can be handy, as it enables you to review them at your convenience, even offline, and keep a reliable backup for record-keeping purposes. This functionality is exclusively available with Spark Hire'sĀ Pro, Growth, and EnterpriseĀ plans and requires and requires an Admin user.

To download an interview, click the three dots (ā€¦) at the top right of the View Assessment page and select Download interview.

Delete an interview

Deleting video interviews can be necessary for managing data privacy, maintaining organized records by removing outdated or irrelevant content, and ensuring compliance with data retention policies.

To delete an interview, click the three dots (ā€¦) at the top right of the View Assessment page and select Delete interview.

Interview evaluation

In this section, you can review the candidateā€™s responses and provide your evaluation.

  • On the left, watch the video of the candidate's answers to your interview questions.
  • Playlist: On the right, navigate through the questions and video responses. The playlist includes a list of all questions asked, with navigation buttons to move through them.
  • Recommendation: Below the playlist, select your recommendation for the candidate from four options: No hire, Not sure, Proceed, Strong hire.
  • Scorecard: Directly below the recommendation, complete the Scorecard section to provide a detailed evaluation of the candidate. Scorecards are only available in the new View Assessment page. To leverage this feature, switch to the new design.
  • Takeaways: Finally, use the Takeaways section to summarize your evaluation with pros, cons, and areas for further review.

šŸ’” Tip: For users with Spark Hire's Pro, Growth, or Enterprise plans, a transcription of the candidate's answers is also available below the video.

Submit evaluation

  1. Select the question/answer you want to rate. You can also use the ā—€ļøā–¶ļø buttons to navigate through the list. The video will start automatically.
  2. Choose a star rating from 1 to 5. When you rate the question, a text box is displayed below the question where you can:
    1. Leave a comment to explain your rating.
    2. Tag a teammate by typing ā€œ@ā€ + their name and discuss your ratings.
  3. If available, you can click on the Questionnaire tab below to see the pre-screening questionnaire the candidate answered before starting their interview.
  4. Select your Recommendation for the candidate from four options: No hire, Not sure, Proceed, Strong hire.
  5. Complete the Scorecard section to evaluate the candidateā€™s traits. Scorecards are only available on the Growth and Enterprise plans. Learn more about Scorecards.
  6. Complete the Takeaways section to summarize your evaluation. Learn more about Takeaways.
    • Pros: ā€“ List the candidate's strengths and reasons to consider them for the role.
    • Concerns: ā€“ Note any reservations or potential reasons against hiring the candidate.
    • Further review: ā€“ Identify areas where additional evaluation or clarification is needed.
  7. Click Submit to save your evaluation.

Resume

Resumes are typically uploaded via the View candidate page, however, you can also upload them directly from theĀ Resume tab on the View Assessment page. This tab allows you to view and manage the candidateā€™s resume without leaving the assessment page.

Tags

Tagging interviews allows you to easily highlight key points, collaborate with teammates, and keep track of important observations throughout the evaluation process.

To add a tag to an or interview:

  1. Scroll down to find the Tags tab and click on the text field.
  2. Start typing to display matching tags.
  3. Select the relevant tag from the dropdown to apply it.
  4. Click Save.

If you donā€™t find the tag youā€™re looking for, you can always create a new one.
