📢 This feature is currently in rollout.

Invite links let you share a specific assessment with candidates using a direct link, no manual invite needed. This is particularly useful to personalize your assessment invitation by sharing the link in a personal email to a candidate.

  • You can create and manage invite links from a job’s Overview or Assessments tabs.
  • Each link is tied to a single assessment type.
  • Each link includes deadline settings, both relative and absolute, and can be deactivated at any time.

🆕 What's new?

June 2025: We've recently made some updates to how invite links work in order to support invite links for multiple types of assessments shortly. The following video details some of these changes so you know what's different. If you're a new customer, you can skip this and jump straight to Prerequisites.

Prerequisites

To create an invite link for a One-Way Interview, the job must be connected to a Question set. You can link a Question set when creating a new job or during the invite link setup.

Create an invite link

You can create an invite link to a One-Way from any job—whether you're setting up a new job or using an existing one.

  1. Navigate to the relevant job and jump to the Overview tab.
  2. On the Invites tile, click the three-dots menu next to the One-Way Interview, and select Setup.

  1. If the job isn’t connected to a question set, a message will appear prompting you to set one up. Click Continue.
  2. You’ll be redirected to the Assessments tab where you can select the question set. You’ll see the Invite link: Off button on the right is currently disabled.
  3. Choose a Question set and Save your changes.
This question set is now the default for this job. You can update it at any time before inviting candidates.
  1. After saving, the Invite link button will become clickable. Click on it and then on Generate link.
  2. Set a deadline for your Invite link:
    • Days to complete: Allow candidates a fixed number of days to complete the assessment after they start.
    • Specific date: Allow candidates to complete the assessment until a specified date and time, after which the link will expire.
  3. Click Save and share your Invite link.

Copy, edit, or deactivate invite links

  1. Navigate to the relevant job and jump to the Overview tab.
  2. On the Invite Links tile, click the three-dots menu next to the One-Way Interview, and select the relevant option.
    • Edit – Change the invite link’s deadline.
    • Copy link – Copy the link to your clipboard to share with reviewers.
    • Deactivate – Turn off the link so it can no longer be used by reviewers or candidates. Anyone who tries to access it will see a “Link is not active” message. If you reactivate the link later, it will use the same URL as before.

Transitioning from legacy links

If you’ve used One-Way Interview links in the past, you might notice some of them labeled as Legacy. These are links created before the current invite link setup and they still work. You’ll see a callout when a legacy link is in use.

To transition from the legacy job links and start using the new Invite links, you need to associate a Question set with the job:

  1. Open the job and go to the three-dot menu next to the One-Way legacy link. Select Setup, then click Continue when prompted. This will open the Assessments tab.
  2. Click Edit legacy interview to open the Edit interview link page.

  3. Click Save to turn the existing questions into a Question set.
    • Open the Content and Details tabs of the Question set to review or edit permissions, visibility, and deadline.
    • Click Save to confirm your changes.

  4. Return to the job’s Assessments tab, select your new Question set as the default for that job, and Save your changes.

Once saved, the legacy link will be removed and replaced with a new Invite link and URL.

You can also delete the link if you no longer need it:

  • If you delete the legacy link, it can’t be restored. To continue sharing the assessment, you’ll need to set up a new invite link from the Assessments tab.
  • The new link will have its own unique URL and include the latest invite options—like deadline settings and deactivation controls.
