Before inviting candidates to assessments, you’ll first create a job. Jobs help you keep your hiring process organized and consistent, and they ensure candidates receive the right information at every stage.
Create a new job
To create a new job, go to Jobs management in the left-side menu and click the Create new job button at the top of the page. Each job includes key details like title, location, description, permissions, and candidate experience settings. You can create a job from scratch or use default settings configured by an admin on your team.
Step 1: Job details
Start by entering the basic information about the position:
- Job title: The title of the position being offered.
- Location: Choose from location types including On-site, Remote, and Hybrid.
- Default time zone: For remote positions, specify the time zone that will be used for the deadline in the invitation email.
- Description: Provide an overview of the role, expectations, and key details.
- Brand: Select the brand or company associated with the job posting.
- Click Continue.
Step 2: Permissions
Control who can access assessments and information related to the job. If your organization has default permissions set up, they’ll apply automatically here.
- Manager: By default, the Manager is the user who creates the job.
-
Visibility:
- Shared – Visible to Admin, Standard roles, and the hiring team.
- Restricted – Visible only to Admin roles and the hiring team.
-
Add to team—Add specific users or user groups to the hiring team.
After creating the job, you’ll be taken to its Overview tab. If you have available job slots, the job will be set as Active. If no slots are available, the job will be Inactive until you deactivate another active job and activate this one.
Next steps
- Define the default assessments for the job to ensure consistency across your team’s hiring process.
- Optionally, set up Intro & outro videos.
- Configure deadline extension rules for One-Way interviews in this job.
- Start inviting candidates to take assessments right away.
