Hiring teams often face challenges in maintaining consistency and collaboration when evaluating candidates. This can lead to misalignment in hiring decisions and a lack of standardized evaluation processes, which may introduce bias and hinder fair assessments. Scorecards help solve these challenges by providing a standardized, customizable tool for evaluating candidates.

  • When creating a job, you can attach a scorecard during the job setup process.
  • Scorecards can be attached to one or more jobs and toggled on or off for each job.
  • Each scorecard shows details such as the creator, the date it was updated, and associated jobs (active or inactive).
  • You can edit, delete, or clone existing scorecards at any time.

Create scorecards

  1. In Spark Hire, go to Library > Scorecards.
  2. Click Create New Scorecard at the top of the page.

    • Enter a name for the scorecard.
    • Add the trait you want to evaluate candidates on, including a name and an optional description to give more context. You can add as many as necessary by clicking ➕ Add trait.

  3. Click Save. Then, set up the scorecard's permissions:
    • Choose the manager who will be listed as the scorecard's creator. By default, your name will appear.
    • Set visibility options:
      • Everyone – All users can view and use the scorecard.
      • Manager only – Only the selected manager can access the scorecard.
      • Specific people – Specify individual users or groups who can access the scorecard.Scorecards 3.png

  2. Scroll down to Scorecard and open the dropdown to select a different scorecard than the company default.
