Reviewing one-way video interviews can be time-consuming, especially when you're hiring at scale. To help you focus on what matters most, Meet offers AI-generated summaries for each One-Way Video Interview response.

These summaries highlight key points from candidate answers, making it easier to:

• Decide which responses to watch in full
• Align with your team using shared, consistent takeaways
• Speed up hiring decisions without sacrificing quality

You’ll find the AI summaries in the Assessment tab on the candidate profile and the Assessment viewer, directly under each recorded response.

How it works

When AI Summary is enabled, Meet automatically transcribes each one-way video response. The AI reviews the transcript and creates a summary that highlights the key points of the candidate’s answer. These summaries appear below each video response and are a quick way to scan responses and decide which interviews to watch.

Enable AI Summary for One-Way Video Interviews

This setting option can be managed for all jobs.

1. From the left-side menu, go to Jobs > Job settings.
2. Scroll down to AI for One-Way Video Interviews and toggle AI Summary.

   

3. Click Save. This will apply to all newly submitted One-Way Video Interviews.

Submitted One-Way notification

Once a candidate submits their One-Way Video Interview, reviewers receive an email notification. This email includes a list of the interview questions, each followed by an AI-generated summary of the candidate's response. This gives reviewers a quick overview of what the candidate shared, helping them decide whether to watch the full response.

The email also includes a direct link to the full interview so reviewers can easily watch and evaluate responses when they're ready.

AI Summaries are shown on the candidate profile and in the Assessment viewer.

On the candidate profile

You will see a list of the interview questions, with a short summary of the question and candidate response. Review and decide whether to watch the interview.

In the Assessment viewer

You will see under each question a short summary of the candidate response. These help you decide which candidate answers to watch. You can Show or Hide these summaries using the ellipsis menu (three dots at the top right).
