Prerequisites

  • Authentication is done per-user, so each user who is going to utilize the integration must authenticate between Spark Hire Meet and Lever.
  • Jobs must be created in Lever.
  • Stages, packages, and user mapping must be configured in Meet.
  • Question sets must be created in Spark Hire Meet.

Set up the integration

Step 1: Configure your webhook in Lever

  1. Log in to Lever as a Super Admin.
  2. Go to Settings > Integrations > Webhooks.
  3. Under Candidate State Change, click Add Webhook.
  4. Set the Webhook URL to https://api.sparkhire.com/lever.
  5. Make sure all triggers are checked.

Step 2: Connect Lever to Spark Hire Meet

  1. In Lever, go to Settings > Integrations, then scroll to the Assessments section.
  2. Find Spark Hire, toggle the integration on, and click Generate New Key.
  3. Click Copy next to the generated key, then click Done.
  4. Log in to Spark Hire Meet and go to Settings > Integrations.
  5. Find Lever in the list and click Activate integration, ****then Configure Lever.
  6. Click Configure the API Key, paste the Lever key you just copied, then click Save.

Step 4: Configure your Lever stage

The stage you select determines when Spark Hire interviews will be triggered in Lever.

We recommend creating a dedicated stage in Lever called Spark Hire.

  1. In Spark Hire, choose your desired Lever stage.
  2. Click Save Stage.

Step 5: Map users between Lever and Spark Hire Meet

Mapping users ensures that actions taken in Lever are linked to the correct users in Spark Hire.

  1. In the User Mapping section, select a Spark Hire user and a Lever user.
  2. Click Link users.
  3. Repeat this process for all relevant team members.

Step 6: Create interview packages

Interview packages define how interview invitations are sent when a candidate reaches your Spark Hire Meet stage. They save you time by automating the setup process. Once created, they’re triggered automatically whenever a candidate moves to the configured Lever stage. Each package includes:

  • A Spark Hire Meet Job
  • A Lever Job
  • A Spark Hire question set
  • An interview deadline

When your selections are complete, click Create Interview Package.

Working with Lever

When you move a candidate (or multiple candidates via bulk actions) to the Lever stage you configured for Spark Hire Meet:

  • The Interview Package associated with that Lever job will automatically trigger.
  • Spark Hire will send an interview invitation to the candidate.

After the candidate completes the interview:

  • You’ll receive links to watch and share the completed interview.
  • These links appear in the Links section on the candidate’s profile in Lever.
