Getting started

Before connecting with Taleo Business Edition, we suggest reviewing the supported functionality and prerequisites below.

Supported functionality

Prerequisites

• Authentication is done per-user, so each user who is going to utilize the integration must authenticate between Spark Hire Meet and Talent App Store.
• Jobs and question sets must be created in Sparl Hire Meet.
• The email address associated with your Spark Hire Meet account matches the email address associated with your Taleo Business Edition account.
• You must request manual activation of the integration to the Spark Hire Meet and Talent App Store Support teams.

Integration setup

If you’re an Admin or Standard user on your organization's Spark Hire Meet account, follow these steps to connect the integration.

1. Confirm that the email address associated with your Spark Hire Meet account matches the email address associated with your Taleo Business Edition account.
2. In Spark Hire, go to Settings > Integrations.
3. Find Taleo Business Edition in the list and click Activate integration.
4. Your User API Key will be generated. Copy this key.
5. Reach out to your Spark Hire account manager to get detailed instructions on how to configure the integration in Taleo Business Edition.

Working with Taleo Business Edition

Once your Spark Hire–Taleo Business Edition integration is configured, you can begin inviting candidates to complete video interviews.

Create a Spark Hire interview in Taleo Business Edition

1. In the full candidate view in Taleo Business Edition, locate the Spark Hire Video Interview section.
2. To create a new interview, select the following options and then click Create Interview:
   1. Spark Hire job – Choose the active Spark Hire Meet job the interview should be associated with.
   2. Interview type – Select whether you’d like to create a one-way or live video interview.
   3. Timing
      • For a one-way interview, set the deadline for when the candidate must submit their responses.
      • For a live interview, set the date and time the live interview will take place.
   4. Question set – Choose the Spark Hire Meet question set you want the candidate to complete.
3. After the interview is successfully created, a confirmation message will appear. When you refresh the page, the new interview will be listed under the Requested tab at the top of the Spark Hire section.

Review completed interviews

1. Once the candidate finishes the video interview, it will appear under the Completed tab in the Spark Hire Meet section.
   • To share the completed interview with people who do not have access to Taleo Business Edition or Spark Hire Meet, copy the “share this interview” link.
     • This link opens the completed interview in a new browser tab and does not require the viewer to log in.
   • To watch and collaborate on the interview inside Spark Hire Meet, click “watch interview on Spark Hire”.
     • This opens the interview in Spark Hire Meet in a new tab, where you can comment, rate, and share as usual.
2. If you prefer to watch responses directly in Taleo Business Edition, click the link for the specific question you want to review. A modal window will open with the candidate’s video recording for that question.
