One of the most important things you can do to set yourself up for success with one-way video interviews is to optimize your communication with your candidates.
When coming up with the emails you're going to send to candidates, keep in mind these tips:
Personalization matters: Customize the content to a candidate based on the job and your interactions with them. This makes the email invitation more relevant and less like a "mass invite".
Set expectations: Give the candidate a sense of where they're at in your hiring process and what comes after the video interview.
Let the candidate know your timing: If you can, prove some information on how long it takes you to review and respond to their one-way video interview when you receive it.
"What's in it for them?": Share a benefit or two about one-way video interviews for the candidate so they understand how this is a better medium than an early round phone screen.
Provide guidance and resources: Offer up some tips or content about one-way video interviews and make sure they know how to get in touch with Spark Hire if they need support.
