If someone sends you a video request through Spark Hire, you can record a new video or upload an existing one.

1. Open the video request email and select Submit a video now.

   

2. Confirm your information, then select See video prompt.
   • If you have not used Spark Hire before, confirm your information and agree to the Spark Hire Terms of Use and Privacy and Security Policy. Then select Proceed as guest.
   • If you already have a Spark Hire account, sign in to continue.
3. Review the video prompt, instructions, and expiration date.

Submit your video

You can then choose how to submit your video:

• Record video: Record and submit a new video using Spark Hire
• Upload video: Select an existing video from your device

On a mobile device, you may only see the option to upload a video.

Record a video

Select Record video to begin. Spark Hire will guide you through a quick camera, microphone, and connection check.

1. Allow Spark Hire to access your camera and microphone, then select Continue.
2. Select your camera from the dropdown menu. Make sure you can see yourself in the preview, then select Continue.
3. Select your microphone from the dropdown menu. Speak to confirm the volume meter responds, then select Continue.
4. Complete the connection test by selecting Continue, then Connect to media server.
5. Select Ready to record and click the red Record button.
6. After the three-second countdown, begin your response.
7. Select Stop when you finish recording.
8. Review your video.
9. Select Retake to record again, or select Submit to send your video.

Upload a video

Select Upload video to choose a video saved on your device. You can drag and drop a file or browse your device. Supported file types include:

• MP4
• MKV
• WebM
• MOV

After you select a file, Spark Hire uploads and processes the video. Processing time depends on your connection and file size.

When processing is complete:

• Select New upload to choose a different video
• Select Submit video to send your video
