When integrating Spark Hire Meet with your ATS, there are certain things that you must complete in one or both of the solutions before you start using them together. We refer to these are "prerequisites."
Prerequisites
The prerequisites (and how to complete them) for each integration are listed on its respective help article.
- Create jobs on Spark Hire Meet: While your jobs may also exist in your ATS, you will still need to create them in Spark Hire Meet. Most customers just copy and paste the basic info.
- Create question sets on Spark Hire Meet: You’ll need to create your one-way video interview question sets on Spark Hire Meet before they are available for use within your ATS.
- Configure packages on Spark Hire Meet: A package is a combination of an assessment type and its relevant settings (e.g. a job, deadline, question set, etc.). Typically, a package needs to be created to support automatic invites (when a candidate can simply be moved to a certain stage in the ATS to initiate the assessment).
- Map users on Spark Hire Meet: A list of your ATS users must be mapped to relevant Spark Hire Meet users.
- Request manual activation from the ATS: The support team from your ATS will need to manually enable the integration on your ATS account.
Not required, but recommended
While the following steps aren’t required and can be configured at any time, we do recommend investing some time here to set your account up for success.
Default job settings
While you can also modify these settings per job, it’s helpful to configure some defaults as a fallback or if you don’t want to set these things up for each role. Please note that some of these options are only available on specific plans.
- Questionnaire: Ask for a candidate’s resume and/or questions with different response types (e.g. paragraph text, multiple choice, etc.) before a video interview (one-way or live).
- Scorecard: Define evaluation criteria for video interviews (one-way or live) so when your teammates go to review a completed one, they are choosing star ratings and adding notes based on what you’re looking for.
- Permissions: This is particularly helpful if your ATS is automatically creating jobs in Spark Hire Meet. You’re able to define who has access to a job and the information associated with it.
- Candidate video visibility: If you prefer that your team evaluates one-way video interviews with the video disabled (reviewing audio only), you can toggle this on.
- Interview transcriptions: If you want every one-way video interview transcribed to text, toggle this on.
- Intro & Outro Videos: These are videos you record or upload on Spark Hire Meet that appear for a candidate before and after a one-way video interview. If you set up default ones, we suggest making them rather generic so they can be relevant regardless of the job.
- Deadline Extensions: At times, candidates might need extra time to complete their assessment for many different reasons. Setting up default deadline extensions standardizes your response to these requests without you needing to step in each time. This is currently only available for one-way video interviews.
Default email templates
If you’d like to include any custom message in your assessment invites that are sent to candidates, you can configure default email templates in your Library > Email Templates. Simply “star” the email template that you want to be the default for that specific assessment type. Now, when you invite candidates via your ATS, Spark Hire Meet will always use the default template you’ve selected.
