Selecting which jobs you want to receive notifications for
All interviews on Spark Hire are tied to jobs and all jobs have user permissions which determine the users on your account that have access to specific jobs.
Therefore, you have the ability to customize whether you want to receive notifications for all of the jobs you have permissions to access or just some of them.
If you want to receive emails for all of the jobs you have access to, select the option for Send me emails for all of the jobs I'm tagged on.
If you only want to receive emails for specific jobs you have access to, select the option for Send me emails for some of the jobs I'm tagged on and then check the box next to the jobs you want to be notified about.
If you select to only receive notifications about specific jobs, newly created jobs that you have access to will be checked by default so you don't need to come back to your settings each time you want to turn notifications on for a new job.
Now, you might be wondering "What if someone else creates the job and I don't want to receive notifications for it?"
That's where the next global setting comes into play.
Selecting if you want to receive emails for all interviews or just the ones that you a personally responsible for.
You can decide if you want to get emails for interviews that are created by everyone else on your organization's account or only for interviews that are created by you.
Selecting which types of notifications you want to receive
There are several types of notifications on Spark Hire based on the status of your video interviews.
In the Interview Notifications section of your settings, you can decide whether or not you want to receive individual emails about interviews that are in the following statuses:
If you turn individual notifications on for a specific status, you'll be prompted to select which types of interviews you want to be notified about.
Daily summary email
Let's say you're a manager who only wants to receive a report of the activity that went on in your organization's Spark Hire account. The daily summary email is a great option for you.
Or perhaps you like keeping your inbox at zero, you're doing a lot of interviews on Spark Hire, and the email notifications have become overwhelming. This is another scenario in which the daily summary email will come in handy.
The daily summary email is off by default so to turn it on, go to the bottom of the notifications page and decide what you want to be included in the daily summary email. Only one of the options has to be checked for the daily summary email to start sending.
Maybe you want to receive individual notifications for canceled interviews, but you'd rather see all completed and accepted interviews in a single email. To accomplish this, you would turn off the individual notifications for completed and accepted interviews, leave on the individual notifications for the canceled interviews, and turn on the summary for completed and accepted interviews.
